This short film was filmed on the streets of Berlin with FFTA as a curtain raiser to the 2013-14 tour of The Ballad of Skinny Lattes and Vintage Clothing, as part of Month of Performance Art, Berlin (MPA-B).

In addition, The Surrealist Taxi returned to MPA-B with a performing passenger in “The Ballad of Skinny Lattes and Vintage Clothing” – a solo performance installation, accompanied by a driver, navigator and occasional passengers. Its subject is globalisation and the effect on our high streets. “A Revolutionary Manifesto for the Middle Classes” served as our central theme as we took an aleatoric journey through Berlin, chronicling the rise of the merchant class as they invade the city with fair-trade coffee and chi-chi retro clothes. The performances took place in the Surrealist Taxi – which was also available for booking if we chose to answer the phone.
